James Murphy is a Doylestown chiropractor who serves Doylestown and the surrounding communities in PA .
Dr. Murphy is originally
from Michigan, while studying at The University of
Michigan School of Management he felt his true calling
was in healthcare and after graduating from college he
worked for a few years and then decided to pursue his
doctorate. Dr. Murphy had a lot of back pain as a
teenager due to playing hockey and taking hits on the
ice for many years. When he sought care for the pain
from his family medical doctor always offered pain pills
that only seemed to mask the pain and only treat the
symptom never correcting the problem. When his family
doctor finally told him to seek a chiropractic
evaluation and treatment he did. The results were
extremely positive the back pain was quickly gone and to
Dr. Murphy's surprise he started to feel increased
energy, more flexibility and an overall sense of optimum
health. For those reasons he has always remained under
chiropractic care and decided to finish his doctorate
work at Life University in Marietta, Georgia and for his
love of sports and treating athletes to give them a
competitive edge and a quicker healing time lead him to
follow up his studies in the Masters in Sports Health
Sciences in Sports injury management. Dr. James has
since transplanted himself in Bucks County where with
his wife Christy (A Bucks county native) and their two
children Jack and Gracie, Christy is an occupational
therapist and certified hand therapist in PA and NJ and
also loves helping people. They enjoy running, fitness,
food, family travel.
James Murphy uses chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patient's lives, whether they are having problems with back pain or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning. Dr. Murphy takes a "whole person" approach in chiropractic care, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column, and Dr. Murphy will be able to determine the root of the pain and create a personalized chiropractic and wellness plan to suit each patient's individual needs. Under the supervision and care of our caring and skilled chiropractor, patients report higher functioning in all areas of their lives.
